UK - Scottish and UK ministers were at loggerheads today over the continued survival of the Lockerbie bomber. The row began after Foreign Secretary William Hague described the medical advice that freed Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi as “worthless”. The Scottish Government accused Mr Hague of attacking a doctor of “impeccable integrity”.
